Summer trip to the Seaside

We understand the girls were taken for a trip to the seaside once school was finally out in July. Here is Joy with her best friend.

These pictures are fun for us to see. Tianjin is known as the special port of the emperors of China. We understand that "Jin hua" means of the sea. Of course she will still be by the sea when she comes to Los Angeles. When I was preparing to make her duvet cover, I sent her three choices of fabric design: she picked the one with sea anemones. We know that she does not yet know how to swim.

I like to believe that the heart she is drawing in the sand is because of the heart necklace she and I each have a section of.
