The influence of Stephen Curtis Chapman

When we were investigating adoption the first time, we went to a "Hope for Orphans" conference. I remember towards the beginning of the conference they played this Stephen Curtis Chapman video called, "When love takes you in". Wow, it really got us! Click on the title above, "The influence of Stephen Curtis Chapman" and watch that music video. The conference speakers also pointed out all the references to adoption in the Bible: Moses, Samuel, Jesus was even "adopted" by his earthly father, Joseph. Then, of course, we are adopted into God's family. This song, video and the conference all had a mighty impact on us.

Stephen Curtis Chapman and his family are big supporters of adoption. In fact, so far they have adopted three daughters from China. Of course, their family experienced such tragedy last year when their middle Chinese daughter was accidentally hit by a car. Just before that accident, Stephen Curtis Chapman had released his latest album with the headlining song, "Cinderella". This song had been inspired by all of his daughters. I have always thought how amazing it was that he chose to go ahead with his "Cinderella" tour that summer. I think this can take you to that video:
